The information we collect on this site

We collect different types of information from or through this site. Mainly these can be split in to two types:

  • when you provide it to us voluntarily by contacting us or by filling the request a test account form which we call User Provided Information
  • or from our website using cookies which we call Automatically Collected Information

The former includes personal data whereas the latter does not, as all its data is anonymous.

User provided information:

How did we get this information and what does it include?

When you fill the request a test account form you may provide, and we may collect personal data. This personal data may include your name, email address, company name and phone number.

How will we use this information?

When you provide us with this personal data you consent to us entering in communication with you, this may include email, phone or newsletters. This is both based on the necessity of this information to perform our pre-contractual obligations at your request and our legitimate interest as per Art. 6 1 (b) and (f) GDPR . We require this information to provide you access to the Desk-Net application and to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.

How long will we keep this information?

User provided information is retained for a limited period of time and no longer than 26 months, unless active business talks have begun or unless required by law.

Automatically Collected information (Cookies):

How did we get this information and what does it include?

When you visit the site, we may automatically record certain information from your device by using various types of technology, including cookies. This information includes IP address (anonymized in most cases, yet please note that in rare cases dynamic IP-address sometimes point to a particular identifiable computer or device) or other device address or ID which collects data such as web browser and/or device type, the referral traffic source and the pages or other content viewed or interacted with on our site, and the dates and times of the visit, access, or use of the site.

This automatically collected information, as it is strictly anonymous, can in no way be linked back to personal data.

We use tools such as Google Analytics to measure and evaluate access to and traffic on the site and create visitor navigation reports for our site administrator. This information does not include personal data as it is strictly anonymous.

How will we use this information?

We use automatically collected information and other information collected on the site through cookies to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the site and third-party marketing activities; and monitor aggregate site usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed.

Where is the information hosted and who do we share this information with?

Your data is stored in world-class data centers in Ireland, EU.

We do not sell personal information to third-parties.

We disclose this information to third parties which are bound to us by contractual agreements (so called sub-processors) where disclosure is necessary to provide the services or as required to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

We require our sub-processors to satisfy equivalent obligations as those required from Desk-Net and as set forth in the Desk-Net Data Processing Agreement.

Our sub-processors are:

  1. Intetics GmbH (Düsseldorf, Germany) with its development centers:
    • Intetics GmbH Sp. z o.o. (Krakow, Poland)
    • Intetics Bel Ltd. (until end 2018, Minsk, Belarus)
  2. Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (“AWS Europe”, Luxembourg) 

Security

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the personal data in our possession. This includes, for example password protection and other access and authentication controls. We also employ application-layer security features.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or store on the Service, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. Controlling your personal Information

When you fill the request for a test account form or contact us, you consent to your information being used for commercial communication purposes. Should you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at dpo@desk-net.com. or by unsubscribing from our newsletter by clicking the unsubscribe link at the end of the newsletter.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.
